The Motion Platform is further enhanced through Seamless Integration with Virtus’ Portfolio Administration Software
CHICAGO, IL – February 29, 2016 – Sky Road LLC, a leading provider of cloud-based investment and trade management solutions for alternative investment strategies, today announced that its flagship Motion Platform now has an enhanced trade processing feature for CLO and loan portfolio management. The new functionality enables clients to seamlessly achieve straight-through connectivity with Virtus Partners’ CDOSuite, Virtus’ portfolio administration software for multi-asset class tracking and compliance monitoring. Sky Road clients can enter underlying loan portfolios in Motion and have the loans automatically sent to Virtus on trade date for compliance monitoring purposes. Upon receipt, Virtus performs compliance review and reports the results, along with enriched asset data, back to the investment manager.
With CLO and fixed income managers facing a growing set of operational challenges spanning compliance, allocations and risk retention requirements, investment firms can now use the Motion Platform to centralize their operational controls through a user-friendly interface and streamline their interactions with Virtus Partners’ portfolio administrative services.
“Today’s investment managers with growing assets, particularly CLOs, are often challenged with striking the right balance of scaling their operational capacity while at the same time reducing manual processing,” said John Borse, Founder and President of Sky Road. “Sky Road’s Motion Platform integration with leading portfolio administrative service providers, such as Virtus Partners, solves these issues through a unified platform that also features important connectivity for managers to streamline their loan portfolio communications. This enables users to reduce time spent inefficiently passing data back and forth and correcting errors.”
In addition to integrating with Virtus’ portfolio administrative services, Sky Road Motion Platform users also have access to Virtus’ continually expanding database of several thousand instrument-related data attributes, giving clients the ability to further enrich their loan securities database.
“We are pleased to work closely with an innovative and agile trade management provider like Sky Road to offer our joint clients a straight-through solution,” said Rob Tomicic, Partner at Virtus. “Investment managers now have a technology-enabled solution to escalate critical loan portfolio information to us in an automated, efficient and accurate manner while leveraging our class-leading technology and service platform to monitor their portfolios and have the underlying data at their fingertips.”
