John E. Borse, Ph.D.
Founder and President
Mr. Borse served as General Partner and Chief Technology Officer at Ritchie Capital Management where he led technology and ran the fund’s quantitative trading group. Prior to joining Ritchie in 2001, he was Chief Information Officer and a member of the executive team at Citadel Investment Group. From 1992 to 1998, he managed the development of the Interest Rate Derivatives System at NationsBanc-CRT (now Bank of America). John holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in Management Science and Information Systems and an MBA and Master of Science in Computer Science also from the University of Chicago.
Joe Clifford
Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Before founding Sky Road, Mr. Clifford was Director of Systems Architecture at Ritchie Capital Management as well as serving six years as a Managing Director of IT at Citadel Investment Group. He also brings thirteen years of experience as a senior systems architect at Bank of America (formerly NationsBanc-CRT) in the Interest Rate Products development team. Joe holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Markets from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA.
Mark Froese
Principal and Chief Operating Officer
Before joining Sky Road, Mr. Froese was an Energy Trader at Ritchie Capital Management where he focused on the North American power markets. Prior to Ritchie, he was a Practice Manager at Bond Technologies for the Financial Markets Practice and a consultant specializing in financial data modeling. Mark brings a collective twenty years of experience in the Financial Markets to Sky Road.
Doug Egbers
Manager of Software Development
Mr. Egbers has over 12 years of experience designing, implementing and managing software in the financial sector. Prior to joining Sky Road, he held senior development and management roles at a variety of firms including CNA Insurance and Lante. Doug holds a Master of Business Administration in analytic finance and statistics from the University of Chicago and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
